Thanks

Heres a high 5 to the folks who still open up my blog to see if I wrote anything lately. I know I've been slacking, but I occassionally check my stats and notice the familiars.
Thanks especially to gypsy arrowsmith, gclark, zenmaster, gigantic, poobou, labmonkie, mom, tomgost, and also to all the folks I dont know.
I know it sucks to open blogs and find nothing new, I do it everyday.
I'll try to do better.
See ya!

Old Friend

Way back when I had scabby knees from skateboard incidents and popeye forearms from playing bass too much, I was in a speed metal kinda band called Toxic Noise with a guitar player named Mike. That was 18 years ago. I googled him one day a while back and got a hit on a website for a metal band that I used to listen to way back in the day, so I sent an e-mail to the webmaster and told him I wanted to make contact. A few weeks later I got an e-mail from Mike. Turns out he was playing bass all over the place for everyone. He was touring and recording with punk bands and metal bands and had worked himself successfully into the Los Angeles hardcore music scene. Then he told me that one of the bands he was playing with was playing just a few hours from where I live (millions of miles from LA), so this weekend, I went and saw him. It was cool. He turned out to be an intelligent and well-spoken man with a good heart. It could have gone either way. As a punk kid, he was pretty aggressive and opinionated, but then again... who wasn’t. The last time I saw him, we were angry kids with angry shirts and angry hair. Now we’re laid-back men with buzz cuts, kids, bigger waistlines and a lot more stories to tell.

Trippy

Everything is different in bloggerville as I type this entry. It's like a whole damn word processor in here.....just taunting me and daring me to change my fonts and colors and
justification.

I think I'm getting used to the maddening flow of unceasing tasks and responsibilities in my life. I'm grateful for every second I get to sit back and enjoy life. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until life was so freakin bizzy that my head was on the verge of exploding all over the overwhelming pile of things that I have to get done. I'm resisting listing them here.  I finally feel a sense of calm, and in time I will be done with my current list of crap......sure, there's gonna be a new list by then, but BFD.
The garden is throbbing with blossoms and food
The daughter is smiling and having a blast
My son is learning to walk and to talk
My beautiful wife is well.......beautiful

So if you hear me complain, just smack me upside the head..... I know better.

complaint department

I feel like complaining....

the company I work for has met many fiscal goals, and is celebrating by feeding steak to all the employees......I dont eat meat.

it won't stop raining and my dogs always muddy

I have a friend with a serious drug problem who is hell bent on self-destruction. Its tearing apart an otherwise awesome family, and hurting innocent people who love them and want things to be right.

my button fell off my pants when I put them on this morning

the people who talk the most and the loudest tend to be "buttholes"
why can't cool people be the loudmouths for a change?

oops, I forgot to blog

but now I'm here. Got some preliminary deck designs cookin. Still trying to make a solid plan. Got a big weekend coming up. The little sugarpie is turning 7 years old this weekend. We're having a party at the bowling alley, and all the kids get to bowl. This will be the first time for most of'em. Should be a blast. Also, the jive heads will be playing during the "freedomfest" downtown. This could be interesting because we haven't practiced in almost a month. Usually after a hiatus, we kick major ass in the studio. What happens on stage after a month is still yet to be seen. And of course the 4th is coming. We've got fireworks and beer and the will to succeed, so bring it on!

My little buddyman is all beat up because he's learning to stand/walk, and small errors in judgement lead to face first plunges.
Sugarpie jumped off the high dive at the water park last weekend, and buddyman was having a blast splashing around.
Got the John Deere running again, thats a big'n.

4 day weekend.........oh yeah..........
